The face-to-face sales team you do not have to build

Door-to-door still converts in categories where the sale is worth explaining in person. What stops most companies using it is that building the team is a business of its own.

Context

What we do

We call it face-to-face sales because that is what it is — trained reps at the door, representing your brand, closing real customers. Door-to-door canvassing, run properly.

We are the outsourced sales force that telecom, energy, security, and home-services companies use to acquire customers this way. We recruit the reps, train them on your product and your offer, put them in territory, and manage them day to day.

This is not a course in how to canvass, and it is not lead generation that hands you a list to chase. It is a working sales channel, staffed and supervised by us, reporting into you.

The reason companies outsource it is rarely the knocking. It is everything around the knocking — recruiting people who will still be there in month three, training them so they represent you properly, assigning and rotating territory, and supervising a distributed field team every single day. That is a full-time operational job, and it is the one we take on.

How campaigns run

Territory first. We map the area, split it into workable patches, and assign reps so coverage is deliberate rather than whoever felt like going where. Territories rotate on a schedule, so no area gets knocked twice in a fortnight and no rep quietly farms the easy streets.

Then the offer. We train on your product, your pricing, your objection handling, and the specific things a rep is and is not allowed to say. That last part matters more than it sounds — most of the reputational damage in this channel comes from reps improvising claims nobody authorised.

Then daily operation: morning briefing, territory assignment, field supervision, and an end-of-day report. Reps are managed, not released. A field team without daily supervision degrades within weeks, and the client is the one whose brand wears it.

Detail

No cost upfront

We take on the full cost of building and running your field sales team — recruiting, training, territory setup, the campaign itself. There is no retainer and no setup fee. You pay only for a confirmed customer.

A conversion counts once it is signed and past the standard cancellation period. If it does not hold, you do not pay for it. That matters more in this channel than most: cancellation windows exist precisely because doorstep sales get reconsidered, and a model that paid out on signature would be charging you for customers you never kept.

It also aligns the incentive properly. A field team paid on confirmed conversions has no reason to push a sale that will not survive the week, which is the same reason we screen offers before running them at all.

Client screening, and why we turn work down

We vet every client’s offer before we put a rep at a door for it. If it is not legally sound to sell door-to-door, we do not run the campaign — not at a discount, not as a trial, not once.

This is a channel with a reputation problem, and the problem is not the knocking. It is vendors who will run anything for anyone. Screening is the difference, and it protects the client as much as the homeowner: a campaign that generates complaints and cancellations is not a campaign that worked.

Contract-specific legal requirements are handled through counsel when we sign each engagement. We are not going to tell you on a web page what your obligations are, because they vary by product, by offer, and by jurisdiction — that is exactly what the contract-stage review is for.

What you see

Doors knocked, contacts made, conversations held, and closes — broken down by territory and by rep, reported daily and summarised weekly.

That granularity is the point. It tells you which territories are worth returning to, which reps need coaching, and what your actual cost per acquisition is through this channel rather than an estimate. Buyers in this category think in those numbers, and you should be able to hold us to them.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Do your reps work for us or for you?

They are our people, recruited, trained, supervised, and paid by us, working on your behalf under your brand at the door. You approve the offer, the script, and the territory plan. The employment and management burden stays with us — that is most of what you are buying.

What stops a rep saying something we did not authorise?

Training on what is and is not sayable, daily supervision in the field, and a screening step before the campaign starts that rules out offers which would need a rep to overreach in order to close. It is not a promise nobody ever goes off script; it is an operation built so that it is caught quickly when they do.

Which territories can you cover?

Manitoba today, with telecom and security campaigns currently running. Expansion beyond that is a conversation about volume and lead time rather than a hard limit — ask, and we will tell you honestly whether we can staff it properly or not.

How is performance measured?

Doors knocked, contact rate, close rate, and cost per acquisition, by territory and by rep. Reported daily, summarised weekly. If a territory is not producing, you will see it in the numbers before anyone has to raise it on a call.
