Marketing

Digital marketing run as a programme, not a project

Most digital marketing fails quietly. The work happens, the invoices arrive, and nobody can say whether it produced a customer.

Context

What goes wrong, and what we do differently

The common pattern is a set of disconnected activities. Someone posts on social, someone else runs ads, a blog gets written when there is time, and the SEO work happened once in 2023. Each piece is defensible on its own and none of it compounds.

We run the four together as one programme, planned against the same goal and reported in the same place. Search brings people who are already looking. Paid reaches the ones who are not yet. Content is what makes either worth landing on. Social is where the business stays visible between purchases.

And it connects to the rest of what we do. A campaign that generates calls nobody answers is a campaign that wasted its budget — which is why the contact centre sits in the same building as the marketing team.

Scope

What the programme covers

  • Search — technical fixes, on-page work, local visibility, and content built for real queries
  • Paid — Google and Meta campaign builds, budget management, and creative iteration
  • Social — an actual posting cadence, not a burst followed by silence
  • Content — pages and posts written to be found and to answer something
  • Monthly reporting against outcomes, not impressions

Detail

How the four fit together

Search is the slowest and the most durable. It compounds, and it keeps working when you stop paying. Paid is the opposite — immediate, controllable, and it stops the moment the budget does. Running only one of them is a choice to be either slow or dependent.

Content feeds both. The pages that rank are the same pages that give a paid click somewhere worth landing, and the same material a social post points at. Writing it once and using it three ways is most of what makes a programme cheaper than four separate efforts.

Social is the one people misjudge. For most of the businesses we work with it is not an acquisition channel on its own — it is what makes a business look alive to someone who is already checking them out. Judged as a lead source it looks like a failure. Judged as what it is, it does real work.

Detail

What we report

Rankings and traffic for the queries that matter to your business, not a vanity list. Cost per lead and per acquisition on paid. Which pages produce contact and which do not.

The reporting is monthly and it is written to be read by someone who does not do this for a living. If a channel is not working, the report says so — a dashboard that only ever shows green is a dashboard nobody should trust.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can we buy just SEO, or just ads?

Yes. They are stronger together, and we will say where a single channel leaves an obvious gap, but we are not going to make you buy four things to get one. Plenty of engagements start with the piece that is most broken.

How long before SEO shows anything?

Months, not weeks, and anyone promising otherwise is either misleading you or planning something you will regret. Technical fixes can move things quickly; ranking for a competitive query is a slower build. Paid is the honest answer when you need volume this quarter.

Who writes the content?

We do, working from your subject-matter knowledge — usually an hour of your time per piece, then it is our problem. Content written entirely without input from someone who does the work reads exactly like what it is.

What does it cost?

It depends on the channels, the competitiveness of your market, and how much of the work already exists. Every engagement is scoped to what you actually need — book a call and we will walk through it together.
